Happy Birthday Kendra!

Kendra was invited to lunch at her adopted grandparents home. Their grand kids were there visiting so it was a party. It was funny to watch her without Tanner and Kara there. She was very shy.

Kendra loved these dolls, she played with them all day!
Kendra wanted a Caillou birthday cake, she really loves that annoying show.

Kara's Fashion Statement

Lately the kids have been getting ready for school so well. They have been getting up and making their beds and getting dressed complete with their snow pants, coat and boots all before I make it downstairs.
This particular day I was so proud of Kara for moving so fast and being all the way ready with her snow gear on. I went to the school after lunch to help out in Tanner's classroom and saw Kara standing there in the hall. I couldn't believe what she was wearing! She had Kendra's pants on, they look like carpi's, but hello, it is still winter here. I asked her if she couldn't find her own pants and she said that she just wanted to wear Kendra's. I now know that I should check them from head to toe before they leave...you never know what's under all the snow gear.

Catching Up with Lots of Pictures

This is Kendra playing "Play dough ball" a really exciting game Barry made up all you need is playdough and some dice let Barry know if you want to know the rules, he has a talent for making up games.
Kendra has been going to a gymnastics open gym once a week and loves it. The rope swing is her favorite.
Tanner had to make a cake for The Boy Scouts 100 year Birthday. This is what we came up with.
Here is Kara trying out the badge making machine with Barry's new supplies.
He got supplies for his Badge-o-matic so he can make 100 pins. He was actually excited about this gift.
Happy Birthday Barry!
Kara celebrated 100 day at school and I got to go help at their 100 day party!
This was Valentines Day
Tanner had a good season of Basketball and was sad that it had to end.

This is us participating in a photo scavengerhunt. It was our Packers Gear picture.

Ice Skating

The kids have been dying to take Barry ice skating ever since we went over Thanksgiving with Lynn and Porter.
They had cones that the kids could hold onto for balance until they felt comfortable without it. Even Kendra could skate by herself with the cone, which really saved our backs. You may have to tilt your head for this video!

Basketball

Here is Kara making her first basket last week! She was so happy!

This week Tanner made two baskets! We didn't get it on video, but he was also extremely happy. I was gone at a young women's volleyball tournament and didn't get to see it. Hopefully it will happen again soon!

Seen and Heard

Kara was at home yesterday sick so there was lots of watching movies. Kendra was sitting Kara's lap for an hour watching. Kara was sweet to let Kendra (who is about the same size as Kara) sit there for so long.

Kendra was helping me make bread. We started the mixer and Kendra said, "That thing is freaking out."

Kendra was looking at a photo album when she saw a picture of herself with her dad. In the picture her shoe was not on her foot correctly. This really bothered Kendra, she started crying because in her words, "my shoe is broken, my shoe is broken and Daddy won't fix it." She was so upset that she didn't want to look at any other pictures.

Tanner got a magic trick kit for Christmas, so we have been watching lots of magic shows. Kendra has caught on to one of the tricks and was more interested in performing her magic trick for us than eating dinner the other night. Watch the video to see it.

Halloween

These were the best pictures I had of this Halloween. Kara was a witch, Tanner was Harry Potter and Kendra was a lion and at the trunk or treat was a pirate.
