Unsolved Mysteries
The weirdest thing happened to me today, and I still can't figure it out. I'll start back on Sunday Kendra broke my only pair of sunglasses. I was sad that I didn't have any to wear. I think that I only told Barry and my friend Tracy that they were broken. Well today I opened my van door and on the drivers seat was this pair of sunglasses. I asked Barry and the kids if they knew anything about them and they didn't. Barry told me it was a blessing from heaven. I called Tracy to see if she put them in my car, and she didn't. She said that it must be my lucky day. I have no idea how they got there or who put them in there. Any theories out there? I think they look like they belonged to a male, but who knows.
Star Wars Obsession
This post is by Tannner!
Tomorrow I get to see the new Star Wars Movie and it's called Star Wars The Clone Wars. I really like clone troopers because I like the blue on Captain Rex. I have Jango Fett and Anakin. I have Shock Trooper, Emperor Palpatine, Darth Vader, R2D2, C3PO, a Battle Droid that is the same person as C3PO but you just take the head off, put on the control pack and put the gun in his hand. I have Darth Maul, and another Anakin, Droidica, and Obi-Wan. I have a Star Wars coloring book and two Star Wars Books. The title of the first book is The Story of Darth Vader, and the second one is Star Pilot. My favorite Stars Wars movie is the second one, my second favorite is the fifth one. I'm having a Star Wars birthday party. I got this Lego Star Wars Ship that my cousin Porter has to go on top of my cake. And once I get that I'll have three Anakins and two R2D2's and one lego ship! Now Mc Donalds Happy Meals has Star Wars toys. I really want this General Grevious and his ship. I checked out Star Wars Books from the library. My favorite one is the one with Darth Vader's head on the front. I found out that Boba Fett is Jango Fett's son. I also found out that Senator Palpatine was trying to destroy the Republic. Did you know that there is a difference between Clone Troopers and Storm Troopers? The difference is they have different helmets. We made Star Wars Decorations for my party. I love Star Wars!

It Gets Better
Not only did Barry and the Residents have a day of Wii, they also all went to Red Robin for lunch. The kids and I went to the hospital to meet Barry for dinner. Tanner and Kara love going to the hospital cafeteria because they can choose whatever they want, usually it's pizza. I don't love the food but it's nice to spend a little time with Barry.

Saturday Call
Barry is on call today with Sam and Judd, both good friends of his. When I came home this afternoon there was a note that said he came and took the Wii to the hospital with him. That means they aren't busy enough with patients, so they are playing the Wii! So I can't feel too sorry for him when he is having the time of his life being on call!
Ultimate!
We got some people together last night to play ultimate football (just like ultimate Frisbee, but with a football). We have done this a couple of other times this summer, all at our friends back yards (they are next door neighbors). It has been so much fun and it's been nice to get some exercise. All the kids (except Kendra) keep pretty occupied and play together while we play. Last time we found Kendra keeping herself busy by eating someones half eaten cheeseburger. She was so happy to have it and she was so good to just sit and eat it that we just let her. Our friends have now nick named her "Cheeseburger."

Hypocrite
So lately I have been helping Barry study for his upcoming exam (he takes it a week from tomorrow). It is a clinical skills test where Barry will see 10-12 patients (all seperately of course) and try to figure out what's wrong with them and how to treat them. We have been reviewing several case studies together from a book. I read the example and act as "the patient" so when Barry ask me questions I say what symptoms/issues/medical history that the patient has.
Kara over heard us practicing yesterday. She really thought I was sick. She also heard Barry ask me how often I smoked. My response was I smoke a pack a day. After Barry left the room Kara came and questioned him about my cigarette smoking asking, "why does mom smoke." Barry said, "She doesn't." Kara said, "She said she did."
We explained what we were doing, but we're still not sure if she really understood the situation.
Today, Tanner heard us practicing and he heard me tell Barry that I usually drink about 3-4 beers a week. He was very concerned. So we had to explain again what we were doing. I showed him the book that I was reading from. I showed him that when Barry asks me a question I respond with what the book says. He finally understood...I think. Hopefully they don't think their mother is a hypocrite.

The Adventures of Kendy
Olympics
We have been watching the Olympics the past few days...did any of you see the men's freestyle relay last night??? It was an amazing race where the US came from behind and won just by 8 -100th's of a second. Today we were watching synchronized diving and Kara said, "those boys wear blue swimming diapers (referring to their speedos)." She really thought it was weird that grown men were wearing diapers.

Mt. Rushmore
It was nice to see Mt. Rushmore. The kids liked it, but Tanner couldn't believe that we would pay $10 to go see it. They actually didn't want to leave because they were having so much fun chasing chipmunks. I would like to go back some day when the kids are a little older because I missed half of the video presentation and didn't get to see everything in the museum (Kendra was being crazy). Barry was getting a migraine so he didn't get to see much either.

Yellowstone
Off to West Yellowstone!
Windy
The wind never stops blowing in Rexburg!
Kim and Mom came up to Idaho and we went to the Rexburg Temple. We all love this picture!
Leo's
It is tradition to go to Leo's for pizza when we are in Idaho Falls. The kids all love it. There is a huge play place for the kids to run around in and a few rides for the little ones. There is also a large mural painted on the wall. It's of railroad tracks going through a tunnel. Kendra thought it looked so real that she tried to walk down the tunnel and smacked into the wall.

Off to Idaho!
Our drive to Idaho was a pleasant one. We haven't done it forever so it was nice to remember how beautiful the west is. We had a nice BBQ with all the Acor's and then played some volleyball. Barry had a really great time in Idaho...he went fishing three of the four days we were there and he caught a ton of fish. He was glad that Brett could take some time off and go with him.
Tanner, Kara, Brittney, Karley, and Emily playing in the Club.
Kendra wanted to join the older kids, but we always spoiled her plans.
She did have fun seeing the horses with Grandpa.
She would pet the horses, but when Grandpa put her on a horse she immediately wanted off.

Belcher Family Reunion
Ladies Night Out
Seal Beach
Seal Beach was a little windy and cold, but that didn't stop any of us from getting in the water. Barry spent about 5 hours boogie boarding and let Tanner and Kara have a turn here and there. I even caught a few waves. Kendra loved the sand! And all the kids collected shells.

The Happiest Place on Earth
We had a blast at Disneyland! It was nice to stay at a hotel right across the street for easy access to the park. Tanner loved Jedi training. Kara loved bumping people on the bumper cars, and Kendra loved Dumbo. Barry had fun with Lynn and Matt on Splash Mountain and their "Splash Party." It was a fun time!
Tanner and Great Grandma Ballard.

Friend BBQ
We had a BBQ in Heber and invited some friends to come. It rained so instead of having it at my parents house we moved to the church two doors down. We got to see Katy and Jason, Joe and Roxanne, and Troy and Jen. It was nice to catch up with everyone!

Oh Baby!
We had a baby shower for Kim on Saturday. It was fun to see so many friends and family there. Barry was of course in charge of cutting the pineapple and then he arranged the fruit on the tray to say Kim. What a cute husband I have!

Kim scored with lots of cute baby girl clothes. Lots of pink and brown. Lisa made a really cute crib set for the baby.
