You are special!

For FHE we came up with things that make everyone special. Here they are:

Tanner-Big brother, he plays with me, he loves me, fun to talk to, willing hard worker.

Kara-Big sister, she plays with me, dare devil, can do anything.

Kendra- she walks, she smiles at us, she plays with me, good natured, gives sweet kissses and pats.

Dad-You take me fishing, he lets us have snacks, he is fun is willing to drop everything to party, helps mom when she needs it.

Mom-She makes good dinners, she lets us do projects, good sense of humor and is fun to be around

Tanner (6 years)likes projects, drawing, playing with Kendra, Christmas, chicken alfredo, chinese writting, brownies, and I like to give brownies too!!! hahaha.
Tanner doesn't like to be a slow poke, papaya, Kendra screaming, old bananas, cauiliflour

Kara (3 1/2 years) likes Momma, every dinner that mom makes, my baby Kendra, snacks, Tanner, Lasagna, brownies, my toy kitten that meows, write, and cut paper.
Kara doesn't like to be told what to do

Kendra (10 months)likes getting into cupboards, climbing the stairs, her mom, to go in the bathroom, taking baths, her bottle, people, babies, pacifier, Kara and Tanner.
Kendra doesn't like to held or picked up by Kara, taken out of the bathroom or out of the bath tub, wearing her coat.

Canceled Church/Barry's Birthday

We got a phone call today at 7:00am that church was canceled. Tanner was faking sick before we got the news so Barry told him if he was sick that he would have to stay in bed all day. He agreed to it and then we told him because of the freezing rain church was canceled. His mood changed considerably and was all of the sudden better. Barry kept harassing him that he needed to go lay in bed.

The kids did puzzles and played and we had a primary lesson for them.

Barry turned 31 today. We celebrated last night with pizza and peanutbutter pie from Perkins. I still haven't felt very well so I didn't do much for him today...in fact he even made dinner tonight. What a good husband I have! I love him so much.

After dinner I asked Tanner to unload the dishwasher. He really rebelled. He usually is so agreeable, but not tonight. He said he wasn't doing it, so we added chores on...cleaning the white room and the living room. He still wouldn't do it so Barry threatened with a cold shower. He finally came down and we mad that he had so much work. It took him so long to do all of it. He was sobbing uncontrollably. He even wrote a note that said:

Daer Mom
No
Budey
Loves
me
Love
Tanner

He really felt picked on and said that he hated choices and didn't want to make choices any more.
He was tired and went right to bed after everything was done.

Sniffle

Barry is on call tonight and I am sick. It has turned out to be an alright night because Kara fell asleep early and Tanner and Kendra will be in bed soon. I think I have the flu. I feel all achey and my head hurts. Hopefully I'll feel better in the morning.

Snow, Snow Go Away!

Tanner, Kara and Barry made this snowman for Kendy and I as a welcome home suprise. We just got back from Idaho and I'm so glad that my flight home was on Tuesday and not Wednessday. I would have been stuck who knows where for a few days. Janesville got 20 inches of snow on Tuesday night and Wednessday. School was closed two days because there was just so much snow everywhere.

I managed to take my trip with just Kendra. Kara and Tanner stayed home with Dad. When he was at work they were either with Dick and Nancy or with Tracy. I'm so glad they were willing to help out. I had a nice break with only one child, but I did miss the other's and so did Kendy.

Kendra was really good flying into Utah. She fell asleep during the flights and was just happy when she was awake. We got to SLC and Dad was there to pick us up. Kendy went right to him and let him hold her. When we went out to the car, I put my hand out to get Kendy and put her in the carseat, but she wouldn't come to me. I was shocked because she has been a mama's girl. She did win points with Grandpa! Kim and Matt were in Heber and it was fun to see and visit with them.

The next morning we left for Mt. Home to see Lisa and Fam. I actually enjoyed the ride. I forgot how beautiful Utah's Mountains are. We listened to President Hinkley's funneral on the way there. It was a good funneral. When we got to Mt. Home I found it funny that it is so flat (not like it's name suggests).

Little Kate was so cute. It's hard to believe how small babies start out. I was thinking that Kendy was smaller than this when she was in the hospital with RSV. She was so sweet and I was so glad to get to see the little girl.

We got to celebrate Micah's 3rd birthday too. He is such a funny little guy. One of the nights Lisa was getting the bath ready for Micah. She left the water running and Micah in the bathroom. Micah shut the door and opened the drawers so they blocked the door from being open. When Lisa discovered this she was worried about the water running. She threatened Micah and all he did was laugh. Seneca came over and tried, but all Micah could do was laugh at his upset parents. I came to the door and in a really sweet voice asked him to open the door for his Auntie Jodie and he did. Lisa was grateful that I was there 'cause who knows when he would have opened the door for them.

All the kids had fun with Grandpa! It's too bad Grandma was at Uncle Dan's funneral. It would have been fun to have her there too.

Whose feet are these? Dad and Kim have identical feet...just Kim's is a little smaller. We laughed at this comparison! Micah was impersonating Alphalfa.

Kendra liked playing with Micah. He was just like Kara with her (except he never tried to pick her up). Kendy liked his attention sometimes and sometimes didn't want him all over her.

Kendra loved baby Kate. She even crawled over to her and kissed her. It was very sweet. She liked to hold the baby with me.

We all got up and got ready for church and got there and no cars were in the parking lot. It was canceled and no one called Lisa and Seneca. The Elder's were in charge of that....funny thing is that Seneca was in the presidency.
