Tanner's Tumble

We drove straight from California to Heber City, UT to visit Grandma and Grandpa Belcher and also to have the Acor Family Reunion.  Just before the reunion started Tanner split his leg open on a brick fire pit.  It was pretty late and Barry was disappointed that he didn't bring any supplies with him to stitch Tan up.  Luckily my mom works for a dentist in town that let Barry use some of his supplies and his office.  Tanner was a little nervous about getting stitches.

Then he realized that he was in good hands!

The only bummer about this was that there was no swimming for Tanner for a few days (the entire reunion) .

Visiting The Korensteins in California

Everyone was so happy to see each other.  It was like no time had passed at all!
The guys playing ping pong!  A favorite pass time of theirs.
We went down to the boardwalk area to watch the fireworks, there was a carnival beforehand where we danced and hula hooped to live music.
We spent the next day at the ocean and Redwoods.
 The kids by "Big Tree"
Then we went to the tide pools.  The water was freezing, but it didn't stop the kids from getting soaked.
They found a starfish while exploring.

The kids enjoyed the water so much that the next day we went to the beach to play in the water (just the kids played in the water I had pants and a jacket on the entire time, it was far too cold to want to swim for me).

Most of their time was spent playing in the sand!
This is in their backyard, seriously the Redwoods are their backyard.  We even saw a deer come up on their lawn one of the days.  It was really good to see them and their beautiful home!

June in a Nut Shell

Kara's friend raised sheep for 4-H and she let Kara come and help her feed them and train them.  Kara thought this was pretty cool and loved working with the animals.
Kara also kept busy with gymnastics.  It keeps her really strong!
Some girls from church put on a tennis camp that Tanner and Kara attended (still Packers fans, sorry Nancy).  The same girls put on a craft camp that Kendra and Kara enjoyed!
Barry took me to a fun restaurant in Boise for my Birthday, for the birthday dessert they brought out cotton candy, on the inside they had a little piece of brownie with a lit candle that made the cotton candy glow (the candle was blown out in the pic).
Some friends invited us to go camping with them.  We really are not campers, but we thought it would be a good way to get to know them better so we went.  That weekend the astronomical society was at the campground with their telescopes so we got to see Saturn, and a bunch of other constellations, Tanner and Kara were diggin' it!
Despite Barry and I getting no sleep because it was so windy that we thought we would blow away, this little guy woke up quite happy.
Barry, Matt and Seneca on Father's Day!

Barry's good friend Brian took him out fishing and Barry had a great time!
Jaxson is getting so big.  He thinks he should be rollerskating with the big kids.
Barry and Lynn took Tanner, Kara, Porter and Peyton fishing, and it was a successful trip.

Tanner looking tough getting ready for a campout
Meeting the cousins at the park for lunch!
Erin and I at Imagine Dragons.  It was a blast!

The Month of May

We began the month celebrating Cinco De Mayo with the family.  We had tacos and made a pinata.

This is a bunch of the neighbor kids that came over to have a water fight.  Even Jaxson got in on the fun!

Fruitland has a Spring Fair where all the kids perform a few songs with their class and then they get to be in a parade.  The whole town is there and it is a pretty big deal!
Kendra and all the other Kindergartners are "farmers" as part of the history of Idaho!  She was a pretty cute little farmer!
Grams came up for a visit and we enjoyed our time with her!  I can't believe she turns 90 this next year!
Mother's Day with all my kiddos!
Summer came a lot earlier in Fruitland than in Wisconsin.  We enjoyed getting out at the end of May.
Barry and my dad decided it was time for a fence.  They spent two days, working late both days to get the fence up.  It turned out really nice and it did it's job of corralling Jaxson.

Kara turned 9!  She had a great day and all of her cousins came to celebrate with her.  The neighbor was also having a party and they invited all of us over for a pinata.

Kara and I went to the Cheesecake Factory with Grandma and Grams for her birthday dinner.

Barry played softball on a team with some guys from our neighborhood and church.
Our neighborhood pool opened and we loved being able to swim all summer!
Tanner played soccer and his team was really good!

Fire Pit

April

Guest Post By: Tanner Acor

Grandpa and Barry decided to build a natural gas fire pit.   It turned out pretty good, but it took them all night long. And in the morning they had to fix a small leak.

I was being really awesome helping out. Like super awesome.
 Barry and Dad working.
We love making s'mores now, right in our backyard!
